Construction Specialist / Site Manager

As a Construction Specialist, you will act as a general representative of HeatTeQ on site and are a direct point of contact for both the clients as well as our internal management. HeatTeQ does not participate in and/or is not actively involved in the execution of these projects. Depending on the size of the project, you may also be assigned the tasks of Senior Supervisor.

Your role

You will handle the following tasks independently:
Provide progress reports to HeatTeQ’s Project Manager and its client;
Manage project planning;
Monitor supervisory budgets;
Participate actively in technical discussions;
Monitor quality in accordance with the drawings and specifications;
Take responsibility for all HeatTeQ supervisors on site;
Identify and respond to deviations in the contracts between HeatTeQ and its clients.

Your profile

You have extensive experience in:
– Performing and/or supervising the (refractory) installation of complicated structures such as mineral smelters, blast furnaces, hot blast stoves, and coke batteries;
– Correctly interpreting (refractory) drawings and specifications;
– Communicating constructive issues to your supervisors, client personnel, and/or subcontractors.

You have (at least) good verbal and written English language skills and a reasonable command of MS-Word and MS-Excel. You are a stress resistant team player with excellent leadership skills and are eager to work and travel internationally.
